Second PPDR innovation workshop as part of 5G Safety project was held in Iskratel. Great variety of PPDR stakeholders attended, beside project consortium partners (Iskratel, Telekom Slovenije, University of Ljubljana Faculty of Electrical Engineering and OSI) also others, namely call center (PSAP) representatives, first responders, police, paramedics, fire brigade, and officials from national PPDR administration.
Different PPDR use cases using advanced technologies were presented in relation to mass-crowd events (e.g. sports world championship ski-jumping event in Planica). A total of twelve (12) use cases were discussed, eight (8) under the course of an optimistic scenario and additional four (4) under the course of a pessimistic scenario (e.g. storm, terrorist attack, helicopter crash …).
